The project aim to equip youth with increased hands-on - work-readiness and life skills, which are dynamic, and in alignment with the world technological trends and markets to ensure youth improved employerability and livelihoods.
Currently championing establishment of an automotive training & service workshop within Unaweza Vocational Training Center with a focus on innovation and excellence. The workshop will offer comprehensive automotive training and service solutions to meet the evolving needs of the automotive industry in Tanzania and East Africa region.
Through climate change environment initiatives, we aim to promote awareness and action on climate change issues, fostering a greener and more sustainable world. We have two initiatives one is demonstration site for farmer managed natural regeneration (FMNR) protected since 2019. We have a tree nursery, used to create conservation awareness to communities and ensure availability of seedlings for tree planting exercise.
Since 2017 the Organization has initiated sponsorship program to support education for girls from marginalized communities. Girls from these communities needs to be protected from early marriage, female genital mutilation and adolescent pregnancies. The fund ensures girls get access to quality education, life skills training, and mentorship to equip them for a successful future.
We are committed to providing compassionate and effective support for disabled youth, catering to their unique needs and fostering a sense of belonging within the community.
YAS NGO has been established to respond to youth unemployment crisis in the country, in ways which will ultimately contribute to sustainable life solutions and opportunities for youth, as well as the well-being of all community members within YAS project areas. The reasons why YAS has to support reduction of youth unemployment is, although the government understands and agrees that youth has the right to employment; many youth who complete their studies at various levels, are not given access to employment in the formal sector because of the poor economy.
